Sending troops to Ukraine – Poland’s position – UNIAN
In Warsaw they say they already have a role to play in supporting the country.
Poland has ruled out sending troops to Ukraine as part of the European mission promoted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, made a corresponding statement during a meeting of the foreign ministers of Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain in Berlin, Rzeczpospolita reports. At the same time, he noted that everything related to Ukraine should not happen without Ukraine and Europe:
“Poland has 600 km of border with Belarus and Russia, we support the entire logistics operation for Ukraine and perhaps there is a role for us, but we are not considering any sending of troops to Ukraine.”
