Undefeated British middleweight boxer Hamza Shiraz (21-0, 17 KOs) will most likely fight the WBC middleweight world champion from the Dominican Republic in his next fight Carlos Adames (24-1, 18 KOs), writes Sports.kz.
It was expected that Shiraz's opponent would be the holder of the WBO and IBF belts Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (16-0, 11 KOs), however, Hamza refused the fight with “Kazakh Style”. For this reason, the promotional auction scheduled for November 18 was cancelled.
On his social network X, the Briton explained this decision as follows: “I’ve been saying this for ages. This fight was scheduled after I defeated Austin Williams. Step by step.”
