Seven oblasts of Ukraine should strengthen the construction of fortifications – Syrskyi
Sirsky reported that 21 regional military administrations are involved in the construction of military engineering and fortification facilities.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of building engineering and fortification structures (IFS).
Syrskyi said this while addressing representatives of local authorities at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities chaired by President Zelenskyi.
According to him, the construction of the IFS was divided into three stages.
“Work is currently underway at the final stage. Within its limits, the Armed Forces are already completing the implementation of the assigned tasks, DSST (State Special Transport Service) needs to speed up the work,” says the head.
