“Miner” beat “Vorsklu” in the opening match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at Arena Lviv ended with a score 3:1.
The Donetsk club secured a comfortable handicap in the first half, hitting the Poltava goal three times. In the 14th minute, Neverton opened the score in the meeting. Then, in the 22nd and 36th minutes, Georgy Sudakov and Lassina Traore scored, respectively.
In the second half, “Vorskla” managed to win back one goal – in the 76th minute, Ivan Nesterenko scored a goal. However, this did not prevent the “miners” from confidently leading the case to victory.
