Shmyhal revealed what the situation with gas will be in Ukraine this heating season
Ukraine will do without gas imports for the second winter in a row.
Ukraine has enough of its own gas reserves to get through the 2024-2025 heating season and does not plan to import fuel in winter.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting.
“We have enough of our own energy resources for the coming winter,” he said.
According to him, the gas reserves in the underground storages will be enough for household consumers, for the thermal utility, and for budget institutions.
“At the same time, while forming reserves, we also took into account the needs in the operation of gas plants of decentralized generation,” the prime minister added.
Shmyhal said that this will be the second heating season in a row, when only Ukrainian gas is used.
