The flight of Russians from Syria is interesting from the point of view of several components. Let's start with aviation, which Russia still has a chance to redeploy.
If we are talking about the aircraft that the Russian Federation used for combat operations in Syria, then we are talking about both strategic and tactical aviation. It should be understood here that most of the strategic aircraft that Russia attracted to Syria were also already involved in attacks on the territory of Ukraine during massive shelling. They were interchangeable, because Russia has a limited number of aircraft of this type.
And there is no point in counting on the fact that the Russian Federation will now have more aircraft capable of carrying X-101, X-55, and X-22 class missiles.
If we are talking about tactical aircraft – the same Su-24, Su-34, Su-30 – everything that was on the battle line in Syria is not such a large aircraft…
