Sijarto explained the logic of the Christmas truce between Russia and Ukraine
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's proposal for a “Christmas truce” did not find support at the meeting of foreign ministers.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, said that at the meeting of the heads of foreign affairs of the EU countries on December 16, the proposal of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban regarding the “Christmas truce” between Russia and Ukraine found almost no support.

The Hungarian minister explained the logic of the “truce” as follows: “If there will be no hostilities, then there will be no Russian advance either.”
