Smart cameras will be installed on the main New Year's street of Kirov

The regional government spoke about innovations in the field of urban improvement. Cameras with facial recognition function are being installed on the main New Year's street in Kirov.

According to the authorities, the equipment will be placed along Spasskaya Street from Kazanskaya to Karl Marx. On the first day of winter, more than 100 New Year trees will begin to be installed on the pedestrian Spasskaya, which will take part in the All-Russian festival. Each tree and section of the street will be viewed and recorded around the clock using the latest video cameras with artificial intelligence. The head of the Directorate for organizing the 650th anniversary of Kirov, Alexey Cheptsov, said that in this way safety for residents and the safety of equipment will be ensured.
