SpaceX has signed a contract with the Pentagon to expand Ukraine's access to a more secure version of Starlink

Elon Musk's SpaceX has signed a contract with the Pentagon that expands Ukraine's access to a more secure version of Starlink, called Starshield.

According to Bloomberg, the contract assumes that the 2.5 thousand Starlink terminals that Ukraine already has will have access to Starshield, which provides more secure communications that are more difficult to hack.

It is alleged that Ukraine already has about 500 terminals with Starshield. The contract concluded with the Pentagon will bring their total number to 3,000. The contract provides for servicing the terminals in 2025.
