The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church says that “the enemy of the human race is trying to sow anxiety in the hearts of people.”
Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church calls not to be afraid of nuclear weapons, because Christians “are not afraid of the so-called end of the world.” He stated this at the plenary session of the World Russian People's Council.
According to Kirill, fear-mongering “around possible apocalyptic scenarios, excessive alarmism and speculation on the nuclear issue are not useful from a spiritual point of view.”
