Students from Africa in Kirov learned to cook Olivier

The government of the Kirov region shared that a delegation of students from Africa took part in the New Year’s quest around Kirov.

This year, Kirov became the New Year's capital of Russia, and every Saturday there are festive events on its streets. One of them was the “Russian Traditions” quest for 80 foreign students from the international friendship club, opened in September as part of the visit of participants of the World Youth Festival.

On interactive platforms, participants – guests from Sudan, Senegal, Cameroon, Congo, Mauritania – got acquainted with New Year's traditions: they decorated a Christmas tree, made a menu, sang songs and played.
