“Stuffed with spy equipment”: what is known about the tanker that broke the cable in the Baltic Sea
Listening equipment was installed on the tanker Eagle S to monitor the actions of NATO naval forces and aviation.
The Eagle S tanker, suspected of belonging to the Russian shadow fleet and damaging an underwater electrical cable between Finland and Estonia, was equipped with special transmitting and receiving devices used to track naval activity.
