Syria – Geopolitical consequences of events in Syria
Today in Syria we are witnessing a unique process – how a new Syrian nation is emerging from the ashes of the civil war.
As of now, it can be stated that the regime of the Assad family, which ruled Syria for decades, has fallen. This is a stunning event that will no doubt have powerful geopolitical consequences for the entire region and could lead to a so-called domino effect.
However, it is important to note that there will not be a scenario of external expansion into neighboring Arab countries, which pro-Russian experts are afraid of. Several factors work against this scenario.
