SZCh in Ukraine – the company commander was accused of mass military desertion
The company commander told the court that he did not understand how to control demotivated servicemen.
The Kostopol District Court of the Rivne region considered a case related to the mass escape of military personnel from their place of deployment, the blame for which was placed on the company commander. However, the court, having considered the commander’s explanations, took his side, writes SUD.UA.
Facts of the case
A consolidated company was created in the Rivne region, the majority of which were military personnel who had recently returned after leaving their military unit without permission. Captain Vladimir S. was appointed company commander on October 23, 2024.
Moreover, in the period from November 18 to November 26, 16 servicemen immediately escaped from the company.
