Telephone scammers have become more active before the New Year and are convincing Russians to commit arson

Over the past week, the country has seen massive arson attacks on administrative and socially significant facilities, as well as bank offices.

Before the New Year holidays, cases of arson attacks under the influence of telephone scammers have become more frequent throughout the country. People lose their money, and then, trying to get it back, attack social and administrative buildings, including bank offices. In total, according to the bank, in Russia the number of such attacks under the influence of social engineering methods has increased by 30%.
