IN Texas Canyon Independent school is forced to remove copies of the Bible because of a new state law on books with “explicitly sexual” content, the Daily Star reports.
The book was removed from the shelves of school libraries after it was found to contain content that the law considers inappropriate.
This is stated in an e-mail from the school director Darryl Flachewhich he sent to his parents.
“Bill 900, which was passed in the last legislative session, establishes library standards. They limit the availability of books in school libraries,” said Flache.
He also promised to remove from the shelves of school reading rooms other books that do not meet “library standards” according to the new law.
