The All-Russian Christmas Tree Festival opened in Kirov
Today, the All-Russian Christmas Tree Festival opened in the New Year's capital of Russia. More than 100 forest beauties from all regions of Russia, as well as from public organizations and partners of the holiday, take part in it.
Christmas tree decorations reflect the historical and natural attractions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, culture, traditions and even the cuisine of different peoples of Russia.
Thus, the Christmas tree of the Belgorod region is decorated with bright balls with the symbols of the region, the names of settlements, and elements of their coats of arms.
For example, Christmas tree balls from the city of Shebekino depict a tower and horseshoes, which symbolize the feats of arms of Russian soldiers in defense of the southern borders of Russia, as well as the development of agriculture and industry.
