Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) commented on the victory of the Kazakh boxer Eldana Talipova over the Uzbek woman Oltina Sotimboeva in the final match Asian Championship 2024 in Chiang Mai (Thailand)reports Sports.kz.
“Oltina Sotimboeva from Uzbekistan moved up to super heavyweight (+81 kg), and the 19-year-old talent defeated Ukrainian Maria Lovchinskaya in the semi-finals. The Uzbek athlete faced Kazakhstan's Eldana Talipova in the gold medal fight and tried to use her quick jabs to control the opening round. However, Talipova had a weight advantage, and she won the last women’s final of the Asian Championship,” writes the ASBC press service.
