Tajik boxer Akmal Ubaydov became the winner in one of the award categories Best of Asianswhich was founded Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC)reports Sports.kz.
Ubaydov was named the “Asian Discovery of 2024.” Let us remind you that in early December Akmal won a gold medal at the Asian Championships in Chiang Mai (Thailand) in the weight category up to 60 kilograms. During the tournament, he defeated boxer from Kazakhstan Beybarys Zheksen in the quarterfinals.
As for the performances of the Kazakhstan men's team at the 2024 Championships, they won ten medals there: five gold, four silver and one bronze.
