The connection between testosterone and sexual desire in men has been refuted – Health
Higher testosterone levels are more strongly associated with competition for mating than with sexual desire, reports Sports.kz with reference to the “Championship”.
Scientists from the University of California at Santa Barbara came to this conclusion. Their study was published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
The experiment involved 41 men aged 18 to 26 years old with different relationship statuses – 27 single and 14 in a relationship. Participants completed a 31-day trial that included daily saliva testing and self-reports of sexual thoughts and desires.
