The proposed changes to the Tax Code may lead to a significant increase in the cost of burials at cemeteries in Ukraine.
The Verkhovna Rada registered draft law No. 12189, which proposes to introduce a value-added tax (VAT) on operations for the supply of funeral services, as well as to cancel the simplified taxation system for providers of funeral services.
This is stated in the card of the document.
According to the explanatory note to the draft law on the specifics of taxation of funeral service providers, the document proposes to make changes to the Tax Code of Ukraine, namely:
