A vain fugitive who complained to the cops that they used an ugly photo provided a fresh picture – and was caught.

George Whittaker, 43, was wanted for breach of license after he was jailed for stealing £3m worth of Viking treasure. He was outraged after police posted an appeal on Facebook to find him, saying they should have used a “better photo because he was hungover.”
He challenged the police on why they used such an ugly picture after a “three-day binge”. So he posted a photo of himself smiling, tanned, and wearing sunglasses, which was picked up by a local newspaper.
