The Czech Republic told what will happen to their “shell initiative” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces next year
The diplomat said he could not say exactly how many shells had already been handed over and how many remained.
Ukraine will need ammunition in 2025, so the so-called Czech initiative will continue. This was stated by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky.
“This year we promised that if there is sufficient international support, we will purchase and transfer half a million large-caliber ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. And we will fulfill this, I can guarantee that we will ensure this by the end of this year,” he said in an interview with European Pravda.
The diplomat said he could not say exactly how many shells had already been transferred and how many remained, but noted that “colleagues responsible for this scheme say that we will achieve this figure.”
