The family of Mariupol defender Anton Trofimov received their own apartment under the “Heart of Azovstal. Homes” program initiated by Rinat Akhmetov.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the defender defended Mariupol. On March 15, 2022, during the fighting, he was seriously wounded in his arm, both legs with an open fracture, and his body was cut by debris. The soldier was taken to a hospital, where the Russians subsequently dropped an aerial bomb. Then all the wounded were evacuated to Azovstal.
On May 17, together with other defenders, by order of senior leadership, he was taken prisoner. Returned home at the end of June 2022 after the exchange of seriously wounded.
