The environmental protection organization doubts that Russian officials will take measures to reduce the negative impact of oil spills.
More than 4,000 tons of fuel oil and possibly other oil products spilled into the waters of the Kerch Strait after the accident of the Russian tankers “Volgoneft-212” and “Volgoneft-239” on December 15. They supplied fuel for the Russian fleet.
Greenpeace Ukraine emphasized this.
In a message on the organization's website, it was noted that the system for determining the location of these vessels has been disabled for 12 days, and tracking data from October 1 shows that the supply route starts from Volgograd and ends in the Kerch Strait.
