The Telegram channel “Doctor's Notes” explained how periodic breaks from the gym will help your body, Sports.kz reports.
“Many people, thinking that it’s time to get in shape, probably imagine how they will have to sit in the gym all the time throughout their lives. However, many fitness trainers argue that time away from the gym every six to eight weeks—aka a “deload week”—is the key to improved fitness results.
Deload weeks generally involve reducing the severity of training, and are usually introduced when periods of intense training occur. The main goal of such a week is to give the body time to recover.
