Dietitian, nutritionist, gastroenterologist Sergei Morozov told Gazeta.Ru how many cashews are safe to consume per day, Sports.kz reports.
According to him, he told Gazeta.Ru that adults are recommended to consume no more than 30-50 grams of cashews per day.
“100 grams of cashews contain approximately 550-600 kcal. The calorie content is high, but it is compensated by the rich composition of nutrients. The fats in nuts (mainly unsaturated fatty acids (oleic, palmitic, linoleic)) are important for the cardiovascular system. They help reduce the level of “bad” cholesterol and the risk of atherosclerosis. In addition, cashews are a good source of vegetable protein, necessary for tissue growth and regeneration.
