According to rosZMI, Yeliseev voluntarily joined the Russian army of occupation in the fall of 2022. He received the call sign “Announcer”, served as a signalman. Part of it was in the occupied territory of Luhansk region.

They added that Yeliseev died as a result of the drone attack, without giving further details.

“Our colleague, the editor of the Izvestia TV channel Maksym Yeliseev, has passed away. He died in a special operation zone after a drone attack,” the message reads.
