The effectiveness of North Korean shells is only 40%: an expert
The Russian Federation accepts low-quality shells from the DPRK due to a shortage of ammunition for artillery.
Given the low quality of North Korean shells at the front, it is likely that North Korea transferred ammunition to Russia that was to be disposed of.
Military and political analyst Dmytro Snegiryov told about this on the air of FREEDOM TV channel.
He noted that projectiles are divided into three categories depending on the terms of their storage. The first category — with 100% efficiency (coefficient of useful action). The second and third categories depend on the duration of storage, in particular, the third is projectiles that have been stored for more than 10 years, with an efficiency of up to 40%.
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, North Korea handed over 5 million projectiles to Russia.
