The EU Court refused DPSU to register the phrase “Russian warship…” as a trademark

The Court of General Jurisdiction of the European Union decided to refuse the State Border Service of Ukraine to register the well-known phrase “Russian warship…” as an EU trademark.
This is stated in the court decision.
The DPSU administration applied to register this phrase in Russian and English as a brand on the territory of the European Union for a wide range of goods and services, but was refused.
The European Intellectual Property Agency explained that this slogan is considered a purely political and not a commercial expression, which makes it impossible to use it as a trademark.
