The European Nuclear Energy Association supports the completion of two power units of the Khmelnytsky NPP

The European Nuclear Energy Association (NuclearEurope) expressed support for the completion of power units No. 3 and No. 4 of the Khmelnytsky NPP.

This is stated in a letter from the General Director of the Association to the Chairman of the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada on energy and housing and communal services.

“We consider this project useful not only for Ukraine, but also for the EU countries and the business community. The adoption of this bill will contribute to the development of the civil nuclear industry and will support the ambitious goal of tripling global nuclear energy production, which was announced at the COP-28 conference.” , the letter says.

European companies have already expressed interest in participating in the project as potential suppliers and subcontractors, NuclearEurope assured.
