The expert explained whether peacekeeping troops could appear in Ukraine: details
Peacekeepers can appear in Ukraine after fulfilling certain conditions.
Russia will never allow peacekeepers to be stationed on the territory of Ukraine, because this will indicate its defeat in the war.
This opinion was expressed by Volodymyr Horbach, a political analyst of the Institute of Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, an expert on the foreign and domestic policy of Ukraine, on the air of “KYIV24”.
“This probability, in my opinion, now seems very small. Weakly likely, let's say, that it will come to this at all,” Horbach said.
According to him, peacekeepers can theoretically appear on the front line, after fulfilling two conditions:
- ceasefire on both sides and the second moment;
- consent of both sides to the deployment of these peacekeepers.
