Kazakh boxer Edil Kozhamberdiev (14-2, 14 KO) performed at a boxing evening in Almatywhere he fought with an Albanian Albie Sorroy (8-0, 1 KO), Sports.kz reports.
Kozhamberdiev and Sorra had a title fight in the first heavyweight division – the WBC Turan champion title was at stake. This fight was scheduled for ten rounds, but did not last the entire allotted distance: the Kazakhstani won by technical knockout in the fifth round. Knockout video can be viewed below.
Thus, Edil Kozhamberdiev won the fifteenth victory in his professional career and won the secondary WBC belt, and Albie Sorra suffered his first defeat in the pro ring.
