On Kazakhstan 2024 Boxing Championship a quarterfinal match took place among women, in which two representatives met Astana — Rimma Volosenko And Ghausar Jakureports Sports.kz.
Volosenko and Zhaku had a quarterfinal fight in the weight category up to 60 kilograms. This fight did not last the entire allotted distance: in the second round, the referee counted Jacques down twice, after which he gave the go-ahead to end the fight. Thus, the victory by technical knockout was awarded to Volosenko.
Rimma Volosenko reached the semi-finals of the national championship and guaranteed herself at least a bronze medal. Let us add that Volosenko is the 2019 Asian champion.
