The first loss of Kazakhstan and declass from Uzbekistan. Results of the third day of the 2024 ChA Boxing Championships – Boxing/MMA

Another competition day took place in Chiang Mai (Thailand) Asian Championship 2024 in boxing, reports Sports.kz.

On Monday, December 2, two athletes were announced from Kazakhstan, but the domestic team suffered its first loss without a fight: Alua Balkibekova (50 kg) in the 1/8 finals was supposed to compete with the Thai athlete Chuthamat Raksat, but due to illness (acute gastroenteritis with intestinal syndrome), the two-time Asian champion Balkibekova had to withdraw from the championship.

In the weight up to 57 kg, also in the 1/8 finals, Ulzhan Sarsenbek met in the ring with Karina Vovk from Ukraine and won a convincing victory over her by unanimous decision of the judges.
