The Government approved the draft State Budget for 2025 for the second reading

The final State Budget should be adopted before the end of November.

On Friday, November 8, the government approved the draft State Budget for 2025 for the second reading.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

“Despite the introduction of certain changes, the main priority remained unchanged — defense, defense capability and security of Ukraine. We propose to allocate 2 trillion 225 billion UAH for these needs. All funds of Ukrainian taxpayers will go exclusively to support the Security and Defense Forces, to manufacture and purchase new weapons, drones and equipment,” the prime minister emphasized.

He added that the social sphere, education and medicine remain among the priorities of the budget.

By the second reading, budget expenditures were increased by UAH 50 billion. In particular:

UAH 24 billion – for education, of which UAH 12 billion will go to extra payments to teachers and another 12 billion to investment projects in the educational sphere;
