The hydrometeorological center stunned Russians with abnormal heat in January

January 2025 will be unusually warm in most of Russia. This was announced by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, in an interview with the TASS agency.

Temperatures in January will exceed the climate norm in most regions of the country. Particularly high rates are expected in the Urals, Western Siberia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Residents of the European part of Russia will also experience abnormally warm weather.

The weather forecaster predicts frosty weather only in the Asian territory of the country. Negative deviations from the norm can be caused by the action of an anticyclone, Vilfand explained.
