In Kirov, the issue of establishing a tax for tourists has been postponed. Deputies of the City Duma reported this.
On Tuesday, November 19, in the Kirov City Duma, the Commission on Economics and Entrepreneurship was supposed to discuss the introduction of a tourist tax. However, the issue was removed from the agenda. The Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry asked for this. They plan to discuss the feasibility of adopting such an initiative for Kirov again.
Let us recall that in early November it became known that the Kirov authorities were considering the possibility of imposing a tax on tourists coming to Kirov. It was reported that the rate will be 1 percent of the tax base and will take effect on January 1, 2025. Over the course of several years (until 2029), the tax is planned to be gradually increased to 5 percent.
