The issue of renaming Maklin and MOPR streets may be postponed in Kirov on December 17

In Kirov, the names of only some of the previously proposed streets may be changed. This statement was made by City Duma deputy Yuri Shlemenzon in a commentary to “Kirov Grad”.

According to the people's representative, the proposed new names of two of the seven streets seem “discordant” to Kirov residents. We are talking about Ostrozhnaya and Butyrskaya streets, which could become MOPR and Maklin streets. The deputy said that it was these new names that received the largest number of negative reviews from citizens.

In this regard, city council deputies may postpone the issue of renaming MOPR and Maklin streets. However, there are no plans to completely abandon their renaming.
