At a mixed martial arts tournament Naiza 69 in Almaty there was a fight between the debutants and the Kazakhstani Sultana Tagieva and Uzbek fighter Islomzhon Sobirjonovreports Sports.kz.

The welterweight fight was scheduled for three rounds, but did not last the entire allotted distance: at the beginning of the third round, Sobirzhonov asked the referee to stop the fight, showing that Tagiyev hit him in the eye with his fingers. However, the judge did not notice anything illegal in the actions of the Kazakhstani and, after consulting with a doctor, ended the fight, awarding Tagiyev a victory by technical knockout.
