A convicted murderer in China has caused widespread outrage online after celebrating his release from a 20-year prison sentence with a lavish feast and firecrackers just outside his victim's home.

The provocative act came to light through a series of videos posted by the victim's son, known on the Internet as “Kailiang Rensheng,” whose last name is Xiang. He is from Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.

Xiang said that at the age of 15, he lost his father in a brutal murder organized by three hitmen hired by their neighbor. His father, who was only 39 years old and just starting his career, was murdered in his own bedroom and his body set on fire with gasoline to destroy evidence.
