The Kirov landmark may be depicted on the new thousandth banknote
The Bank of Russia presented options for images that may appear on the sides of the new 1 thousand ruble banknote. RBC writes about this.
On Thursday, November 28, the Central Bank of Russia showed 25 variants of images that became candidates for one of the two places on the updated thousandth banknote. Previously, the bill had already been approved in a new design with the palace church in the Kazan Kremlin. However, after the “disappearance” of the cross from its dome, a scandal arose, and the issue of the banknote was suspended.
After this, the Bank of Russia is again working on the design of the thousandth banknote, which should depict the sights of the Volga Federal District, which includes the Kirov Region. The Vyatka Art Museum in Kirov is option No. 1 in the list of 25 images, which was approved by the regulator.
