The Kirov region purchased 66 units of forestry equipment over six years on December 19

In the Kirov region, the implementation of a regional project aimed at preserving forests continues. The interim results were shared by the press service of the regional government.

The project called “Preservation of forests in the Kirov region” started in 2019. Over the course of six years of its implementation, the planned indicators for the ratio of the area of ​​reforestation to the area cut down have been achieved in full.

In 2024, as part of the project, a truck and 26 pieces of fire-fighting equipment were purchased for a total amount of 18.2 million rubles. Over the six years of project implementation, 66 units of forest fire-fighting and forestry equipment were purchased, and Lesookhrana’s equipment with forest fire-fighting equipment reached 100 percent, says a government press release.
