Kazakh boxer Ulzhan Sarsenbek competed in the quarterfinals Asian Championship 2024 in the weight category up to 57 kilograms, writes Sports.kz.
Sarsenbeck's opponent at this stage was Vietnamese Nguyen Tran. The meeting lasted all three rounds allotted for it and ended in favor of Ulzhan with a unanimous decision of the judges. In the second round, the referee counted a knockdown to the Vietnamese athlete. Thus, Ulzhan Sarsenbek reached the semi-finals, securing at least “bronze” at the 2024 Championship.

Ulzhan Sarsenbek became the world youth champion last year and also won gold at the Asian Youth Championships.
