Private entrepreneurs will probably pay the increased amount of the military tax already after the new year.
The law on raising taxes, signed on Thursday, November 28, by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, will enter into force the next day. Thus, the increased military levy in November will be charged for the two days remaining in the month.
This was announced by People's Deputy Danylo Hetmantsev, who heads the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy.
“Given the date of publication of the law, it will enter into force on November 29. Thus, VZ [військовий збір] at the new rate, it should be withheld only for 2 days of November,” he said.
