During a Lufthansa flight from Buenos Aires to Frankfurt, 11 people were injured due to severe turbulence. In total, 329 passengers and 19 crew members were on board during the flight.

“The Boeing 747-8 aircraft probably suddenly fell into the air pits. Five passengers and six crew members received mostly minor injuries,” the airline said.
When the plane began to land in Frankfurt, the pilot radioed for medical assistance for the victims. Medics were already waiting for the injured passengers and crew members on the runway and immediately provided them with the necessary assistance.
Lufthansa said that despite the turbulence, nothing threatened the plane itself.
