The Lviv region was the first in Ukraine to get rid of the churches of the UOC MP,

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion in the region, there were 54 church communities associated with the UOC-MP.

The Lviv region became the first in Ukraine where there is no longer a single registered religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. This was announced by the Chairman of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maxim Kozitsky.

“Today is a historic day for the Lviv region – the region has been cleared of religious communities that are subordinate to the Moscow Patriarchate. The region has become the first in Ukraine where there is no longer a single registered religious community of the Russian Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” the official noted.

According to his information, before the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014, there were 66 religious communities of the Moscow Patriarchate in the Lviv region….
