Pantoja was putting the UFC flyweight title on the line. The fight was scheduled for five rounds, lasted the entire allotted distance and ended in favor of the Brazilian after a choke in the opening round. Thus, Alexandre won the 29th victory in his career, and Asakura suffered his fifth defeat in MMA.
