The majority of Ukrainians are against territorial concessions: survey results — Ukraine
32% of Ukrainians are ready to give up territories to end the war.
As of October 2024, 58% of Ukrainians are categorically against any territorial concessions by Russia. However, over the past few months, there has been a gradual increase in the share of those who are ready to make such concessions. Thus, at the end of 2023, their share was 19%, in February 2024 – 26%, and in May 2024 – 32%. Since the beginning of October 2024, this figure has remained stable at the level of 32%.
This is evidenced by the results of the KMIS poll.
According to survey data, willingness to make concessions correlates with several factors. In particular, among those who believe that Russia has unlimited resources for terror, 48% are ready to make territorial concessions, while among those who believe that Russia's resources are depleted, only 18% are in favor of concessions.
