At the court, the man admitted his guilt and repented.

In the Zhytomyr region, a 36-year-old man was sentenced to 3 years in prison, who was found fit for mobilization, but he refused the summons.

This is stated in the verdict of the Red Army District Court of Zhytomyr region (the name of the court is not decommunized – ed.).

According to the court, the resident of Zhytomyr Oblast passed the military medical commission, which found him fit for mobilization. In July 2024, they wanted to issue a subpoena to the man, but he categorically refused it.

At the court, the man admitted his guilt and repented. He explained that he “refused to receive a combat summons to be sent to the training center, as he does not want to undergo military service. He understands the consequences of evading the draft for military service during mobilization.”
